I recently photographed the ceremony of Grace and Gideon. I had never been in San Francisco City Hall before and I was enamored with the beautiful backdrop. Beautiful view, beautiful exchanges...thank you Grace and Gideon. Here's a peek of the day from my lens!
A few photos of the cutest little Fairy (she likes Tinkerbell). A tad camera shy in costume but I have yet to retouch the images of her rocking out on the accoustic guitar). And since the set was already up, I had to throw on an equally as cute little hobbit! Enjoy!
After photographing little Amaya, I drove home with the sweetest little lullaby, 'Amaya Bella' in my head. Her mommy sang it to her to keep her calm and to get her attention during the session. I will say that this family has debunked the theory that something is lost when a baby and mother do not get to bond within the first 2 hours of birth. This was one of the most loving and intimate families that I've seen in a long time and Amaya clearly knows that she is loved. If you don't believe me, look at those big brown eyes when she gazes up at her Mama and Papa! Thank you for sharing your afternoon Paul and Tiffany!
After people, I'd have to say that my favorite thing to photograph is food! I think that I like photographing it just as much as I like preparing it. I think that once my kids are older and I get back into commercial work, I may market food photography. I have a cookbook proposal but it's been out of circulation (to agents) since my wedding planning days (two years). In the meantime, I'm still shooting my prettiest dishes. Here are cupcakes and kalmata paté that I prepared for my best friend's bridal shower. Needless to say, they were a hit! I forgot to photograph the salmon. Enjoy!
I enjoy watching city lights bleed like watercolor on pavement after a rain. I chuckle when my toddler hides under the duvet to play peek-boo whenever I try to make my bed. I love that moment when a trembling bride who has just started down the aisle locks eyes with her fiance and then exhales. As a photographer, I enjoy the challenge of capturing what was just 1/60 of a second glance in the other direction. I've created this blog to share the way that I see the world, with the world. Enjoy!
